Program Management in ITM Platform

Programs in ITM Platform are groups of projects or services that are related to each other. They help organizations manage multiple initiatives that contribute to shared business goals or other strategic criteria.

Accessing Programs

The Programs feature is located in the Management section. When you access it, the first screen displays the Program List, which includes:

  • Filters for sorting and searching programs.
  • Column selectors to customize visible data.
  • Export to Excel functionality.

Program Sections

Each program consists of several sections, similar to projects or other entities in ITM Platform.

1. General Information

This section allows you to define:

  • Program classification
  • Type
  • Status
  • Fiscal year
  • Start date

2. Business Goals

The Business Goals section lets you select goals from your organization's Strategic Plans. This ensures that the program aligns with overarching company objectives.

3. Budget Management

The Budget section consists of three key components:

  1. Program Budget – A top-down approach to budget allocation, similar to project budgeting.
  2. Components Budget – Aggregated budgets from individual projects or services included in the program.
  3. Last Period & Close Values – Displays budget performance over the last period.

4. Component Selection

Programs are made up of projects or services. You can add them by clicking Select Component, which shows a list of available projects and services.

Note: A project can only belong to one program at a time. If a project is already assigned to another program, you must remove it from the existing program before adding it to a new one.

5. Strategic Alignment

Once you've selected program components and prioritized business goals, you are ready for strategic alignment. This ensures that all included projects and services contribute effectively to the organization's objectives.

6. Schedule Overview

The Schedule section provides an overview of:

  • All included projects
  • Dependencies between projects

7. Progress Tracking

The Progress section allows you to track:

  • The status of each individual component (projects/services)
  • Special Events, which are key milestones or activities that need to be highlighted

Special Events also appear in the Portfolio Progress section.

8. Team Management

The Team section enables you to assign:

  • Program Managers responsible for overseeing the program
  • User Guests who can access and manage the program
